LIVELY AND LOVING BACKYARD WEDDING
THE MORNING
Zola and Caleb got ready together at her parent's house - there was food, family and flowers all around! I started the morning with detail shots and grabbed Zola's bouquet, which was out of a DREAM! The cosmos bounced around the peach dahlias and zinnias. Her details included the perfume she was wearing that day, a green velvet ring box and her string of pearl earrings.
As the girls did makeup touch ups, Caleb's two sisters helped him put his boutonniere on downstairs.
CEREMONY
Their ceremony took place in Zola's neighbours backyard, between two beautiful mature cottonwood trees. Lisa, their violinist played as the procession began and Caleb got a first look at his bride.
On their exit back down the aisle, Caleb made sure not to miss the high-five from Zola's dad!

Family photos happening right after the ceremony is a great way to get everyone in one place!
We spent 30 minutes with the families and 30 minutes with the bridal party taking photos around the beautiful yard.
BRIDAL PHOTOS
Zola and Caleb's wedding location was also right beside a pasture with donkeys! Zola had her real-life Snow White moment with these cuties who wanted pets over the fence.

HAIRCUT!
Surprise! Zola and Caleb had planned to cut his hair between their ceremony and reception. He had been growing it out for over 4 years!
Zola had the honours of braiding and chopping off Caleb's ponytail, while Nathan (a barber friend) cleaned up the cut. Of course the ponytail had it's photoshoot moment.
RECEPTION
Talk about a reception entrance! Caleb with a fresh haircut and Zola with his ponytail in hand! These two are hilarious.
Bud vases lined the reception tables underneath a tent and string lights. After speeches, the shoe game, and lots of toasts - Zola and Caleb served pies to all their guests for dessert! This was a really cool way for them to get a second to chat with each of their guests personally.
Their dance floor was one of the best I've seen! Almost every single person was out their getting their boogey on. It wasn't hard to capture some awesome facial expressions and action shots.
Some of which included: A groomsmen doing the splits, Caleb with his tie around his forehead (classic) and money tucked into his shirt, Zola singing her heart out, Caleb's nephew in the middle of a dance circle, and of course - Caleb getting carried above the crowd.
